Well Katmandu is a CRAZY city. The drive from the airport in a little van from the Kathmandu Guest House was mad! Everybody driving on any side of the road they choose, most people are on motorbikes, weaving in and around the traffic. The streets are lined with multicoloured shops and hundreds of people going about their daily lives. A real shock of of colour. sounds and smells.
Our arrival into the Kathmandu Guest House was like walking into tranquility. Set back from the road, with a beautiful garden, the sounds of kathmandu merge into the backgound and everyone is very friendly. In the evening Lydia and I had a walk about the city to get a sim card for my phone.. a very interesting experience (involving 10 different people a webdesigner and a bit of bribery... but successful in the end!
